§ 10-47. Purpose.

The purpose of this article is to (1) improve and protect the public's health, safety, and welfare by eliminating smoking in public places and places of employment/workplaces; (2) promote the right of nonsmokers to breathe smoke-free air; and (3) recognize that the need to breathe smokefree air shall have priority over the choice to smoke.
