§ 20-1. Definitions.

  • As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the respective meanings ascribed to them:

    Public vehicle: Any motor vehicle operated within the city for the purpose of carrying passengers for hire, except specially chartered buses, sight-seeing buses or motor buses owned and operated by any person under authority of the general laws of the state, or the Interstate Commerce Commission of the United States of America.

    Street: Any street, alley, avenue, land, public place or highway within the city.
