§ 20-3. Same—Application.

  • Application for a certificate of public convenience and necessity for the operation of public vehicles within the city shall be made to the city council, and shall set forth the following information:

    (1)

    The name and address of the applicant;

    (2)

    The trade name under which the applicant does or proposes to do business;

    (3)

    The number of vehicles the applicant desires to operate;

    (4)

    The seating capacity of such vehicles;

    (5)

    The make and model of such vehicles;

    (6)

    Whether the applicant has been convicted of the violation of any national, state or municipal law;

    (7)

    Whether the applicant or any person with whom he has been associated or employed, has claims or judgments against him for damages resulting from the negligent operation of a public vehicle;

    (8)

    A financial statement of the applicant;

    (9)

    If the applicant is a firm or corporation, personnel, the nature and character of service, the experience of applicant for rendering such service, and the period of time he has rendered it in the city;

    and any other information required by the city council, upon forms to be prepared under its direction, and available at the office of the city secretary, all of which applicant shall state under oath.
