§ 5-60. Application for moving permit.

(a)

It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to move onto any property for the purpose of preparing to move a structure on to such property or off of such property without first making an application for moving permit with the building official of the City of Athens. Application shall be made by the individual, firm or corporation that will be directly responsible for moving the structure. The application will be valid for a period of ninety (90) working days from time the application is made. The application may with conditions, be renewed one time for a period of forty-five (45) working days.

(b)

This section of the article does not apply to those structures which by their design are intended to be transported.
