§ 12.02. Personal interest.

Elected officials and employees of the city shall have no financial interest, direct or indirect, in any contract with the city nor be financially interested, directly or indirectly, in the sale to the city of any land, or rights or interest in any land, materials, supplies, or service, whatsoever. Any violation of this section shall be considered as automatic, immediate resignation from the office or position held by such person. Further, any such violation shall be subject to prosecution.
