§ 16-38. Same—Repairing crossings.

It shall be the duty of such railroad company to repair and put in good condition the streets and sidewalks over which its railroad passes whenever the same has been damaged by it, fill up excavations, build embankments and do and perform all acts necessary to put the streets and sidewalks in as good condition as they were before the railroad passed over the same.
